Google offers an excellent online training centre to help both teachers and pupils to effectively use Google Apps in an educational context.
There are six simple modules providing training content with each module offering chapters with many lessons. You can read through the entire course at your own pace with each chapter taking about 20 minutes to complete.
It is a great way to get yourself started with using Google Apps.
